Autonomy ZANTAZ Digital Safe is a massively scalable, hosted archive service that enables customers to outsource the storage and management of their email messages, attachments, files, Instant Messages (IMs), unified communications content and, with IDOL, content from over 400 other repositories, to a trusted, proven third-party.
Digital Safe, as an on-demand offering, is the most scalable and secure proactive Information Risk Management solution available on the market. It currently stores more than 20 billion emails and files and archives more than one billion new messages every 45 days. Digital Safe's scalability is unique and unmatched by any other email archiving system available on the market today.
Autonomy ZANTAZ developed a unique split-cell architecture in response to shortcomings in Storage Area Networks (SANS) and other network storage devices. These devices failed to maintain performance when archiving the massive amounts of email and IM content generated by even moderately sized companies. In addition, these devices often fail to meet the level of compliance and Continuity Of Business (COB) required by the SEC, NYSE, and governmental regulations, without significant investment in custom development and costly maintenance.
The split-cell architecture is a grid based paradigm that is infinitely scalable, maintaining performance under any load. Two fully synchronized systems, geographically separated, provide complete data and system redundancy and parallel processing of all tasks. The basic design addresses all aspects of multi-tenancy, such as multiple fire walls and virus protection, and the highest level of physical and electronic protection is maintained and monitored 24/7 by a team of highly trained system and security experts. The design is uniquely qualified to support the performance and volume requirements that are necessary for processing the rapidly expanding number of corporate formats and unified communications - including all forms of textual, audio and video mail and attachments.
Digital Safe helps organizations eliminate the burden of acquiring, implementing and managing local storage, including the time and cost associated with backups, administration, software upgrades and technical support. The Autonomy ZANTAZ solution requires no onsite hardware and is completely transparent to end users. Customers' data is stored in two geographically-dispersed, ultra-secure, SAS 70-compliant data centers, ensuring extra protection and Continuity of Business in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.
The integrated IDOL engine allows rapid eDiscovery services to be performed, with terabytes of data made available for review in days, not weeks.
